W.J. FERGUSON FUNERAL FRIDAY
William J. Ferguson, 64, died at 4 a.m. Thursday at a local hospital after an illness of one year.  Funeral services were held Friday at 3 p.m. at the family home, 1129 South Crockett, with Dr. Neal D. Cannon, pastor of the Travis Street Methodist Church, officiating.  Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Bells, directed by Waldo.  Pallbearers were J.J. Scull, John Marshall, Earl Kimbrough, and T.J. Miller of Sherman; Wade Neves and Roy Duncan of Bells.
Mr. Ferguson was born July 22, 1878 in Meggs county, Tennessee, a son of Mr. and Mrs. N.C. Ferguson.  The family moved to Texas when he was 9 years of age.  He was educated at the Bells school and in Grayson college, Whitewright.
Mr. Ferguson married Miss Cassie Nenney on November 22, 1905, at McKinney.  They moved to Sherman in 1920 from Bells where he had been in the mercantile business with his father.  He was a member of the Travis Street Methodist church.
Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Miss Seawillow Ferguson of Sherman, and Mrs. Allan B. Moore of New Orleans, Louisiana; his father, N.C. Ferguson of Sherman; and one brother, W.B. Ferguson of Sherman.
