BELLS - Funeral services for Edith M. Southerland, 80, of Bells were scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2002
at Mullican-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Charles Williams officiated. Mrs. Southerland passed away Thursday, December 26, 2002 at Mullican Care Center in Savoy, Texas.  Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells.

Edith Southerland was born April 19, 1922 in Krum, Texas to parents William Lee Koiner and Edith Mae Parks Koiner. She married Jeff Southerland on December 21, 1948 in Dallas, Texas. Edith was a homemaker and also worked at Kraft Foods in Denison for nine years, and she worked at the Bells Snap Center for 10 years. She was a Methodist.
Pallbearers were Greg, Gary and Caleb Southerland, Shane Pennell, Kevin Nowakowski and Jerry Owens.
Survivors are son, Dewayne Southerland and his wife, Pat, of Bethany, Oklahoma; son, Dennis Southerland and his wife, Carol, of Tom Bean, Texas; brother, Corbet Koiner of Krum, Texas; brother, Charles Koiner of Waynesboro, Virginia; sister, Ida Garvin of Denison, Texas; sister Frankie Owens of Denison; sister, Marie Pittman of San Antonio, Texas; granddaughter Ginger Ross; grandson, Greg Southerland; grandson; Gary Southerland; granddaughter, Amber Pennell; grandson, Caleb Southerland; great-grandchildren, Colby and Meredith Pennell and Lauren Southerland.
Edith Southerland was preceded in death by her husband; brother, William Lee Koiner; and daughter-in-law, Bobbie Southerland.
