Edna Rose Dolle Brenek, 90, of Savoy, Texas passed away at Seven Oaks Nursing Home in Bonham, Texas on April 22, 2013 after a battle with cancer. Her husband of 50 years Rudolph William Brenek passed away in 1990.

Edna was born on July 12, 1922 in Cyclone, Texas, the daughter of Erwin Dolle and Rose Frances Miller Dolle. She married Rudolph William Brenek on December 28, 1939 in Littlefield, Texas. Edna grew up around Littlefield and Morton, Texas.
She and Rudolph moved to Portales, New Mexico in 1952 where they farmed. In 1960 they moved to Colorado to own and manage The Colorado Springs Motel for 17 years. Then after vacationing for one year, Rudolph and Edna bought their current home in Savoy, Texas. Edna went to work for seven years selling shoes in Gibson's Department Store in Sherman retiring at the age of 65.

Scripture and Eulogy will be at 10:00AM Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy, Texas. Deacon Gary Vogel officiated. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery.  A Rosary begn at 6:PM and visitation followed at 7:00PM Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the funeral home.
Edna is survived by her children, Myrts Williams of Bonham; Carol Palermo Luce of Mesa, Arizona; William O. Brenek of Dumphries, Virginia; and Betty Rose of Pearl River, Louisiana; sisters, Kathleen Eady of Lubbock and Euealle Webb of Clovis, New Mexico; 8 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren
