D. E. Hance was born in Randolph, Texas on May 17, 1919 and departed on June 18, 2007; he resided in Sherman, Texas.
Service was held Thursday, June 21, 2007, with burial following at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Doc was a member of the First Baptist Church of Savoy where he and Marie had lived for more than 43 years. He owned and operated his own truck before retiring in 1981. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II serving in France and Germany. Doc fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was later taken as a Prisoner of War in Germany.
