BELLS - Services for Wesley "Slats" Lucas of Bells, 80-year-old retired Grayson County employee who died Monday in Northeast Medical Center, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Mullican-Little Funeral Home.  Rev. Houston Garner officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Lucas was born in Hobart, Oklahoma, the son of Richard and Sarah Lucas, and married Allie Murray on November 9, 1929 in Durant, Oklahoma. He was a Baptist and member of the Woodman of the World.
Surviving are his wife; sons, John Lucas of Whitewright, Mike Lucas and Bill Lucas, both of Bonham and Thomas Lucas of Denison; sister, Ida Robinson of Leonard; and 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
