Funeral services for Aylene Taylor were set for 3:00 P.M., Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Mullican-Little Chapel in Bells/Savoy.  Dr. Lowell Howard of the Savoy Cowboy Church officiated. Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bells.
Aylene was born July 20, 1926 in Hagerman, New Mexico to parents George and Viola Virginia (Downes) Dees. On May 26, 1945 she married David Taylor in Matador, Texas. Through her life, she worked as a Ttelephone operator, seamstress, nursing home aide and med aide. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, sewing and quilting. Each of her children treasures their own double wedding ring quilt that she made for each of them. Her many friends and family members enjoyed the fruits of her talents as she blessed them with many gifts that she made.
Aylene was also fond of genealogy and all crossword puzzles. She loved to read and watch "Jeopardy" and was quite the sports fan. She knew the statistics when watching any sport such as golf, tennis or football.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.  She was also preceded by 11 siblings: brothers, George, Everett, William McDonald, Leroy, Clifford, and Glenn; sisters, Kittie May, Clytie, Clarice, Lucille, and Bernice. Two sons-in-law preceded her, Pat Stuever and Don Cook.
She is survived by her son, Leland Taylor and wife, Natalia, of Corpus Christi; daughters, Karen Rose and husband, Jerry, of McAlester, Oklahoma; Judy Stuever of Bells; Susan Johnson and husband, Glenn, of Denison; grandsons, Greg Miller and wife, Susan, of Owasso, Oklahoma; Damon Taylor and wife, Asaka, of Japan; granddaughter, Amber Taylor of Corpus Christi; great-grandchildren, Geoffrey and Zachary Miller and Damien Taylor; sister-in-law Billie Taylor of Bonham; and numerous nephews and nieces of whom she could relate all their birth dates from memory.

David served in the U. S. Army Air Force during WW II and drove a truck for Goins Lumber Company for 18 years.  He attended Aberfoyle schools.
