BELLS - James A. Mitchusson, 77-year-old Bells resident, passed away Monday, January 26, 2009 at Texoma Medical Center.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 30 at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Brown officiating. Burial  followed at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Mitchusson was born on July 2, 1931 in the Oakridge Community, east of Denison, son of A.R. and Blanche Greer Mitchusson. He was a graduate of Bells High School.
He married Martha Cobble on December 8, 1950 in Bells, Texas with Rev. Baxter Bryant, former Methodist minister, officiating at the wedding.
James retired from Pillsbury after 40 years of service. He farmed and ranched for more than 50 years on the family farm on Calimus Flatts.
Pallbearers were Tommy Connor, Scott Jansen, Brandon Powell, Casey Blount, Joe Moore, Stacy Waggoner, Eugene Sanford and Danny Gordon. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Moore, Charlie Moore, Benton Helm, Jerry Pedigo, Grady Cobble and Grady Cobble Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Mitchusson of Bells; daughter, Dale Clark and her husband, Billy, of Bells; grandsons, Mitch Clark and wife, Rena, of Bells; and Joe and Tera Clark; adored great-grandchildren, Brayden and Emma Clark and Lauren Patterson; and adopted grandson, Creig Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marvis and Bill Mitchusson; and sisters, Mattie Sanford, Beatrice Eime and Hazel Mitchusson.


Bells - Martha Jean Cobble Mitchusson was born December 30, 1933, daughter of Tom and Madge Cobble of Ambrose, Texas.  She married James A. Mitchusson on Decmeber 8, 1950 in Bells, Texas.
She is survived by daughter, Gale Mitchusson Clark and husband, Billy, of Bells; grandsons, Creig Wiilliams of Oxnard, California; Mitch Clark and wife, Rena, of Paris, Texas; and Joe Clark and wife, Tera, of Austin, Texas; great-grandsons, Brayden Clark of Bells, Texas; and James Clark of Paris, Texas; great-granddaughters, Emma Clark of Austin, Texas; Lauren Patterson of Paris, Texas; Jackie Williams of Nashville, Tennessee and Alyxis Williams of Bells, Texas. Also many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Grady Cobble, Thomas "Bus" Cobble, and Larry Cobble; sisters, Juanita Cato, Dottie Smith, Lena Wilburn, and Betty Morrow.
Martha taught school at Bells ISD for over 25 years.  She touched the lives of many young men and women who passed through her classroom. She was also active in the WMU at the Methodist church.
She was a member of the Birthday Club, and Retired Teachers that met monthly, going out to eat and socializing.
Martha passed away April 9, 2021.  Services for Martha were held Thursday morning, April 15, 2021 at Antioch Baptist Church in Bells.   Burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery.  Joe Moore, Scott Jansen, Tom Conner, Danny Gordan, Brandon Powell, and Thomas Sanford served as pallbearers.  Bill Moore, Charlie Moore, Larry Bush and Grady Cobble, Jr. served as honorary pallbearers.  Services were under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home, Van Alstyne, Texas - - - Scoggins Funeral Home
