DAUGHTER OF COUNTY AUDITOR DIED TODAY
Sherman, September 29 - Mrs. Joe R. Meadows, 24 years of age, daughter of County Auditor and Mrs. A.S. Noble, died at Sherman hospital at 12:30 o'clock this morning following a brief illness.  Mrs. Meadows was formerly Miss Lucile Noble, and while her home was at Preston Bend both before and after her marriage, she had attended school in Sherman and had many friends in this city who were greatly shocked to learn of her death this morning.
The body was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Noble at 528 South Walnut street this morning from which the funeral cortege leaves at 4 o'clock this afternoon for Preston Bend where interment will be made.
Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Meadows is survived by three sisters and a brother: Misses Gladys, Fay and Louise Noble and Allie Noble, Jr.  She was born July 9, 1895 and was reared near Preston Bend.  She attended Sherman high school and later Kidd-Key College.  She was married to Mr. Meadows about 2 years ago, and since that time had been making her home at Preston Bend.
Mrs. Meadows was a young woman of Christian character, and her untimely passing has caused a pall of sorrow to fall among her friends here and elsewhere.

Mrs. J.R. Meadows of Preston, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.S. Noble of Sherman, died at the Sherman hospital Sunday evening after an illness of only a week.  Mrs. Meadows is well known in the city, being a weekly visitor here, and the news of her death will be received with sorrow.
Funeral services will be held from the family residence in Preston at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.  Deceased is survived by her husband and her parents.

The writer regrets very much to learn of the untimely death of Mrs. Lucile Noble Meadows of Preston Bend, but formerly of Sherman, and a schoolmate of the writer.  Sympathy is hereby expressed to the bereaved ones.
