My name is Alan Keatts.
The Stromans, Lewis Worbes and Cooks buried in Preston Bend Cemetery are my family.
............Now there are four oak trees just right above Charles Worbas headstone. There is a marker in the middle of these four trees. This is a marker of a young girl that was under the age of two; her family was on a wagon traveling across the country and the girl died. My great-great-grandfather Charles Worbas let them bury the girl there and planted the four trees for a marker so her family would also know were she was buried.
I heard this story from my great-grandmother Mary Stroman, who was buried there at age of 100.
My grandmother Chloe Lewis and Mary Stroman raised me and my brother. My great Uncle Henry Stroman passed away few years ago and is buried in Arkansas. He was very proud of his family and the Preston Bend area in which he and his family were raised.
