  Sherri Lynn Francis Hamby 25 January 1951 - Woodrow Wayne Hamby 27 July 1944 - 28 July 2017 wed August 16, 1967  Pottsboro - Woodrow Wayne Hamby went home to be with the Lord, Friday, July 28, 2017 at the age of 72. He was born on December 27, 1944 in Celina, Texas, son of Olen and Elise Peterman Hamby. He married Sherri Francis on August 16, 1967. Woody is survived by his wife of 50 years; daughter, Hayley Shope and husband, Phil; daughter, Heather Weaver; grandchildren: Anna, Hatty and Cy Shope; Olivia and Kennedy Weaver; sisters, June Price and Marilyn Ford; and brother, Larry Hamby. Woody was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bobbie Helen Hamby; and brothers, Charles and Harold Hamby. A graveside service was held Monday morning, July 31, 2017 at Preston Bend Cemetery, located at the corner of Preston Bend Road and Glen Eden Drive in Pottsboro, Texas.
