DEATHS
W.H. Woods, 76, retired Grayson County farmer, died at a Sherman hospital Saturday at 1:45 a.m.  Mr. Woods, who had lived in the Desert community for 33 years, had been ill for three months.
Funeral services were held at the Cross Roads Church at Desert Sunday at 3 p.m.  Connie Hollis of Leonard, Church of Christ minister, conducted the service.  Burial was in Pilot Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Woods was born Aug. 27, 1874, at Zion, Arkansas.  He moved to the Desert community in 1918.  He retired from farming seven years ago.  On August 30, 1896, Mr. Woods was married to Miss Cornelia Tolleson.  He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Lycurgus Woods of Sherman; three daughters, Mrs. Lettie Roberts of Houston, Mrs. Nama McNairn of Sadler, and Mrs. Mae Kemp of Houston; three brothers, Jim Woods of Wayne, Oklahoma, Henry Woods of Burkburnett, and Herbert Woods of Melbourne, Arkansas; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Jones and Mrs. Laura Tomlinson, both of Melbourne; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
