Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday in Earnheart Funeral Chapel for James V. (Jim) Grider, 75, who died Sunday in a Sherman hospital after a long illness.  Rev. Howard Adams conducted the services.  Burial was in Pilot Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Grider was born July 22, 1890 in Albany, Kentucky, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Grider.  On October 14, 1916, he married Miss Edith Neathery at Cannon.  He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Claude Riddle and Mrs. Lynn McKinney, both of Sherman; three brothers, Ivy Grider, Lewis Grider and Arthur Grider, all of Van Alstyne; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Hill and Mrs. Susie Hartsfield, both of Van Alstyne; and Mrs. Candeas Olds of Sherman; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
