Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday at the Orangeville Baptist Church for Don B. Smith, who died Monday night in a Sherman hospital following several days illness.  The services were conducted by Rev. Howard McSpedden of Pilot Grove, Rev. R.L. Cates of Randolph, and Rev. C.T. Sansom of Bonham, with burial following at Pilot Grove cemetery.  Funeral arrangements were in charge of Glen Earnheart.  Active pallbearers were Joe Charles Ensminger, Dan and G.V. Vestal, Don Wilson, Ray Gene Wilson and Edward Deaton.
Don was a son of Joe R. Smith of Orangeville and was born and reared at Orangeville.  His mother died one year ago last Tuesday.  He was converted and joined the Baptist Church several years ago.
Surviving besides his father are a sister, Peggy Jean Smith, at home; Garland Smith, student at East Texas State Teachers College, Commerce; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Garland of Pilot Grove and Mrs. Mollie Smith of Orangeville.
