The Whitewright Sun Thursday, December 22, 1932 pg. 1 Mrs. Cora E. Butts, aged 56, died at her home in Dallas last Friday, where she had resided for the past four years. Funeral services were held at the Pilot Grove Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with Rev. J.A. Henderson in charge. He was assisted by Rev. Miller of Gunter. The deceased was a daughter of the late J.D. Garland, pioneer settler in the Pilot Grove community. She is survived by several children, her aged mother, and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Butts made her home in the Pilot Grove community for a number of years before moving to Dallas. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
