Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Earnheart Funeral Chapel for Mrs. W.H. Scoggins, 71, who died Sunday at 1:20 p.m. in a Sherman hospital.
Elder H.G. Ball of Tioga and Elder Lowell McClain of Princeton conducted the services.  Burial was in Pilot Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bob Cawthon, Jack Andrew, Albert Burks, W.A. John, Clint Hopper and Claude Adams.
Mrs. Scoggins was born August 13, 1891, in Georgia, a daughter of John and Carrie Davis.  She married Mr. Scoggins August 13, 1906 in Gunter.  She was a member of the Tioga Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Merle of Los Angeles, California; two daughters, Mrs. Dolph Hopper and Mrs. Carl Jones, both of Desert; two brothers, Harvey Davis of Kenefic and Earl Davis of Mesquite; five sisters, Mrs. S.P. Jackson of Whitewright, Mrs. H.T. Maxberry of Mount Pleasant, Mrs. Claude Hall of Hydro, Oklahoma, Mrs. John Wiliford and Mrs. Mary Jones, both of Dallas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
