Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Reeves, wife of the late W.C. Reeves, were held at the Pilot Grove Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Tuesday.  The services were in charge of Rev. John R. Rice of Dallas and Rev. J.A. Henderson of Pilot Grove.  Interment was made at Pilot Grove Cemetery.  A short funeral service was held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at the Ed C. Smith funeral home in Dallas.
Mrs. Reeves died Monday morning at 9 o'clock at the Methodist Hospital in Dallas following a two weeks illness.  She had been in declining health for several years.
For many years Mr. and Mrs. Reeves resided southwest of town.  In 1908 they moved to Whitewright and resided here until they moved to Dallas in 1921.  Mrs. Reeves was born November 8, 1862 in Illinois.  She was a life long member of the Baptist Church.
Mrs. Reeves is survived by 5 children and 5 step-children: Mrs. Ruie Sanders and Misses Blannie, Icy, and Foy Reeves of Dallas; Cull Reeves of Whitewright; Mrs. Nora McDonald of Merkel; Dr. H.V. Reeves of El Campo; Joe Reeves of Whitewright; G.E. Reeves of Abilene; and Mrs. Ethel Conger of Sherman, all of whom were present at the funeral services.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Reeves Conger, 53, of Sherman were held at the Bethel Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Monday conducted by Rev. Howard McSpedden and Rev. J.A. Henderson.  Burial was in Pilot Grove Cemetery, directed by Earnheart.
Mrs. Conger died at 6:40 p.m. Sunday in a Sherman hospital.  She had been in bad health for several years but was critically ill for only 2 weeks.  She was born January 18, 1887 at Pike, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Reeves.  She had resided in Sherman since 1919 and was a member of the East Sherman Baptist Church.
Surviving are 2 children, Mrs. Claude Luke and V.W. Conger of Beaumont; 4 brothers, Dr. H.V. Reeves of El Campo; Elbert Reeves of Abilene; and Joe Reeves and Cull Reeves of Whitewright; 5 sisters, Mrs. Nora McDonald of Merkel; Miss Blannie Reeves of Whitewright; and Misses Icey and Foy Reeves and Mrs. Grady Sanders of Dallas.

SERVICES HELD AT WHITEWRIGHT FOR JOSEPH L REEVES
Servives for Joseph L Reeves, 96, were held Friday.  Mr. Reeves died at a Whitewright nursing home on Wednesday, August 24, 1977.
Services were held at the Earnheart Funeral Chapel in Whitewright.  Rev. Charles Pierce of Bethel Baptist Church and Rev. Arthur Hays conducted the services.  Burial was in Pilot Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Reeves was born in Grayson County, son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Reeves.  He was married to Mable Freeman and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Mr. Reeves was a retired farmer.  He grew up in the Bethel community, south of Whitewright, and farmed until he was in his mid-seventies.  He move to Whitewright 22 years ago.  He would entertain his grandchildren with stories about how he plowed his land with horses and with other stories about how the Indians used to roam the area.
He is survived by 3 sons, Wesley W. Reeves and Albert L. Reeves of Howe; and Claude G. Reeves, owner of Reeves Cleaners; 5 daughters, Mrs. Euna D. McCord, Mrs. Margaret A. Brock, Mrs. Mary L. Hutcherson and Mrs. Velma J. Furgeson, all of Sherman; and Mrs. Alma Ruth Burchfield of Plano; 4 sisters, Miss Blannie Reeves, Miss Icy Reeves and Miss Foy Reeves, all of Ft. Worth; and Mrs. Ruie Sanders of Dallas; 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
