Funeral services for Louis Augustus Viser, 64, were held at 3 p.m. Monday at the First Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Sam P. Farler, pastor, assisted by Rev. C.C. Childress.  Burial in Pilot Grover Cemetery was directed by Glen Earnheart.  Pallbearers were Grover Stuteville, Roby Childress, John Reeves, Dolph Hopper, Wallace Caraway and Edgar Bow.
Mr. Viser died suddenly Sunday afternoon at his home, 1510 South Elm, Sherman, of a heart attack.
Born at Piggot, Arkansas, November 27, 1887, Mr. Viser was the son of Dr. and Mrs. J.A. Viser, for many years residents of Pilot Grove.  He had been a member of the Methodist church since childhood.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Carl Stripling of Nacogdoches and Mrs. Clifford Trice of Sherman; one son, John L. Viser of Dallas; four sisters, Mrs. Lelia Sublett and Mrs. I.L.Neathery of Whitewright; Mrs. A.J. Creswell of Floyd, and Mrs. Ethel Self of San Bernardino, California, and three grandchildren.
