ZAC MOSELEY KILLED
Thursday about 10 o'clock p.m., Ella Porter killed Zac Moseley, colored, on Austin avenue and Waler street.  Ella is a niece of the dead man.  The circumstances which led up to the tragedy are about as follows:
Moseley claime that his niece had visited his wife and told her a story to the effect that Zac was in the habit of visiting another woman and that he was untrue to his marriage relations.  It is allege that Moseley made threats of vengeance against his niece.  When they met Thursday night Zac commenced to abuse and upbraid his niece and assaulted her.  The woman in pure self-defense defended herself and slashed Zac on the arm with a razor.  Moseley lingered until Friday morning, dying about 7 o'clock.
Ella Porter was arrested and conveyed to jail.  She was raised in Denison and Mayor Knaur and others for whom she has worked speak of her in the highest terms.
Zac Moseley is a pioneer resident of Denison and conducted a barber shop on Main street, a few doors east of the Gazetteer office.
