Markham 1880 - 1952 The Denison Press Friday, February 15, 1957 pg. 4 Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Faye Markham, 64, were held at Bratcher chapel Thursday afternoon at 3:30 with Rev. Earnest L. Potter officiating. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery. Mrs. Markham died at a local hospital Wednesday morning at 1:10 from a sudden illness. She was in the hospital two hours. Mrs. Markham was born in Denison, February 15, 1892, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Freeman; and she lived here all of her life. She was educated in Denison schools and married to C.A. Markham February 19, 1905. He died in 1952. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist church. Survivors are her mother, Mrs. Eliza Standerfer, Denison; two sons, Dan and Harold Markham of Denison; a sister, Mrs. S.P. Jenkins of Colbert; and three grandchildren.  OAKWOOD CEMETERY
