M.H. (Mack) Grider, 62, 700 E. Chestnut, died in the Veterans Administration Hospital in McKinney Wednesday, February 18, after a year of illness.  He had been in the hospital one day.
Funeral services were held at Bratcher Chapel Friday, February 20 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gene Nicely officiating.  Burial was in Oakwood.
Grider was born in Tennessee November 27, 1896, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grider.  He was married October 3, 1917 to Ruby Coker at Yardley, Oklahoma.  He was a carpenter and lived in Colbert before coming to Denison 23 years ago.  He was a member of East Baptist Church.
Survivors are his widow, Denison; five sons, C.J. Grider of Denison, E.L. of Gainesville, E.D. of Grapevine, R.N. of Kiserlaugh, Germany, and F.J. Grider of Dallas; three daughters, Mrs. Annie Brown, Mrs. Ester Owens and Miss Helen Grider, all of Denison; and fourteen grandchildren.
