Funeral for Mrs. Eugene Odle, 75, of 424 East Woodard were held Monday at 3:30 p.m. in Bratcher Chapel with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Mrs. Odle died Friday at 10:15 p.m. in a local hospital after a three week illness. She was hospitalized one day.
Born Josie Annie Lindsey at Altoga, Texas, March 21, 1885, Mrs. Odle had been a Denison resident 50 years. She married Eugene Odle, now a retired Katy man, at McKinney,Texas, August 9, 1903. She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, J. H. Odle of Denison; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Wood and Mrs. E. V. Shipman, both of Sonoma, California; a brother, Bob Lindsey of Durant, Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. Nannie Terrell of Western (Weston); nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. 
Pallbearers : Roy Meredith, Loy Evans, C. W. Redman, A. C. Sowder, R. L. Cherry and Clarence Faecke.


Eugene Odle, 84, of 424 East Woodard, a retired Katy Fireman died Friday at 2:40 p.m. at a local hospital.  Funeral was held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Bratcher Chapel, Dan Reddick, minister of Central Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Born June 9, 1881 in Kentucky, he married Josie Annie Lindsey on August 9, 1903 in McKinney, Texas.  He was a fireman with the Katy Railroad from 1926 to 1946.  He was a member of the Church of Christ and B of L.R. & E.
He has one son, J. H. Odle of Denison; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Wood of Sonoma, California; two brothers, Willie and Vester Odle of McKinney; five sisters, Mrs. Ben Holt, Mrs. J. Lenderman of Denison, Mrs. Ora Farley, Mrs. Emma Jones of Dallas, Mrs. Molly Davs of Grand Prairie; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
