J. B. Stinson, aged 84 years, died very suddenly at his home, 813 South Crockett avenue, at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon. Mr. Stinson had been camping at Randell Lake for several days and said he began feeling bad early Friday morning. He came to his home here and shortly after 1 o'clock, a physician was called to see him. Just before his death he ...over a chair to the kitchen of his home and sat down near a fire and his wife heard a noise in the kitchen soon afterward that attracted her attention. Going to the room Mrs. Stinson found her husband gasping for breath and he soon passed away without speaking to her or to neighbors who had come in.
Mr. Stinson had resided in Denison for the past thirty years, being engaged as a contracting painter. he was held in high esteem over the entire city and was well and favorably known to almost everyone. he was a great hunter and fisherman and spent considerable spare time hunting along Red River and fishing in nearby lakes and streams. There was possibly no other man in this community who knew the fishing and hunting places in this part of the country better than he. His death will be a sudden and sad blow to his many friends in this section. Surviving are the wife, sons Arthur, Will and Roy, and daughter Mrs. Frank Brigham of Denison.
Funeral services will be conducted from the home at 10 o'clock Sunday morning with Rev. L. D. Shauver officiating
.
