Funeral services were conducted here Tuesday for LeRoy J. Coffin, son of Mr. and Mrs. G.A. Coffin, Mills Branch, who died following injuries received in an automobile wreck.  He was injured while enroute from LaPorte to his work in a ship building plant.  Death came later in a hospital at Goose Creek.
Born in Denison April 15, 1916, he was reared and educated here.  He had been engaged in the ship building plant only a few months, leaving a position at the Denison Cotton Mill to take the new job.
Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Naomi Giles; his parents and seven brothers and four sisters.  Brothers are Lemley, Henry T., Martin and Harvey of Denison; Allen, U.S. Army in Vermont; Haskell serving with the overseas army, and Calvin of the U.S. Navy.
Sisters are Mrs. Ida Holt and Mrs. Nellie Smith of Los Angeles; Mrs. Mertie Roberson of Denison, and Mrs. Bertie Jackson of Independence, Kansas.
