Albert Loeffler, aged 36, was found dead in his room at 631 Main street Tuesday evening about 2 o'clock.  Mr. Loeffler came to Denison in 1892 and for a long time worked for Dr. Yeidell.  He went away in 1892 but returned last year and on November 1st began work for Mr. Herman Steuber.  He remained with Mr. Steuber until May last when he resigned to take a place with John Seigel at the White House saloon, No. 317 Main street.  He seemed to be in good health and spirits but as he had been subject to heart trouble his sudden death was not a great surprise to his friends.  Mr. Loeffler's wife resides in Dubuque, Iowa.  She was telegraphed the news of her husband's death, and a few hours later a telegram came asking that the body be forwarded to that city for burial.  In a short time another telegram from Dubuque, signed by Mr. Loeffler's father, and asking that the remains be interred here, was received.  Wednesday still another telegram came stating that Mrs. Loeffler would be on the noon train Thursday and that she desired the funeral to be postponed until her arrival.
Mrs. Loeffler came in Thursday night from Duguque, Iowa and Friday morning at 11 o'clock the remains were interred at Oakwood cemetery.  The funeral was quite largely attended by the friends of the deceased.
