Denison, June 16 - A.B. Johnson, the well-known merchant tailor, died yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Excelsior Springs, Missouri, aged 62 years.  His wife and daughter, Mrs. Eva Puckett, were with him when the end came.  The remains reached Denison this morning on the Katy Limited.  They will be removed from the Halton undertaking rooms to the residence, No. 321 West Morton street during the day.
Mr. Johnson had been ill 3 months of stomach trouble, which was complicaatd by the appearance of kidney trouble.  Several weeks ago he was taken to Excelsior Springs.
The decedent had been a resident of Denison for more than a quarter of a century.  He was married here to Miss Maggie Dorris who survives him with the following children, all of Denison: Mrs. Eva Puckett, Miss Lottie Johnson, Charles Johnson, Harry Johnson and Adolph Johnson.  A brother, Ernest Johnson, formerly of Denison, resides at St. Louis, and a sister, Mrs. P.F. Thompson resides at O'Neill, Nebraska.
The funeral arrangements will not be made until a message is received from the sister in Nebraska.

Mrs. Maggie Johnson [Margaret Dorris]

Denison-- Mrs. Maggie Johnson, 72 years old, died at the family residence, 321 West Morton Street at 8:10 a. m. Thursday following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held from the home at 4 p. m. Friday with Dr. J. S. Hodges, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood cemetery with Short-Murray directing.
She is survived by three sons, Charles, Adolph, and Harry Johnson of Denison; two daughters, Mrs. J. G. Puckett of Denison and Mrs. T. B. Anderson of Dallas; two brothers, O. R. Dorris of Duluth, Minn., and Frank Dorris of Peoria, Ill.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Van Buren, Ark., Nov 11, 1861, coming to Denison with her parents in a covered wagon in 1872. She had been a resident of this city since that time.
She witnessed the arrival of the first passenger train here, and lived through the days of the tented city. Her late husband, A. B. Johnson, was for many years a merchant tailor and was widely known over a wide area

Funeral services for Harry Johnson, 70, of 321 West Morton, were held at Bratcher Chapel Thursday, April 2, at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. James I. Logan officiated and interment was in Oakwood Cemetery.  Johnson died at the Denison Manor Tuesday, March 31, after a month of illness.
He was a native of Denison, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Johnson Sr.  He was born March 19, 1889.  He was a brother to the late Adolph  Johnson [Jr.], owner of Rockwell's Jewelry.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.  
He is survived by a niece, Miss Justine Puckett, and a nephew, Sam Johnson, both of Denison.
