 Denison  Section 6  Charles E. Davis 19 May 1872 - 4 January 1951 The Denison Press Friday, January 12, 1951 pg. 4 Funeral services were held at Bratcher-Moore Chapel Saturday, January 6, for Charlie Davis, 79, father of Mrs. Cecil Taylor of 100 E. Monterey, with whom he made his home. Rev. W.O. Bucy of Trinity Methodist Church officiated and interment was in Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Davis died in a local hospital Thursday, January 4, after a nine-day illness. Mr. Davis was a painter and a member of the Presbyterian Church. He was born in Illinois, May 19, 1871, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davis. He attended school in Denison and was married in 1905 to Miss Fay West. Survivors include the daughter in Denison and a son, Robert Charles Davis, of Tucson, Arizona, and four grandchildren.  OAKWOOD CEMETERY
