The Last Station Reached
The Death of Frank Brown, Mo. Pac. Eng
Mr. F. F. Brown (Frank), one of the most popular and highly esteemed locomotive engineers in the service of the Pacific railway company, died Tuesday, November 23, of the complaint, cancer in the stomach.  The deceased was taken sick several weeks ago and went to the hospital in Sedalia, Missouri, to obtain relief, but that was neverto be granted.  He returned to Denison to the bosom of a loving wife, and after lingering a short time passed to that bourn from which no traveler has ever returned to bring tidings of the loved and lost.
The interment took place Wednesday from the family residence, and was notable for the large attendance of sympathizing friends.  The pall bearers were Messrs. Royce, Hardenburg, Kerner, Danforth, Calahan and Fielder, all members of the Brotherhood of Locomogive Engineers, of which the deceased was an exemplary member.  Mr. William Winn, Master of the Brotherhood of Railway Brakemen, with a number of companions, also participated in the funeral pageant.  They loved the deceased, who was always to them a friend and companion.
The services at the residence were of the most affecting character; they were conducted by Rev. Walter E. Tynes, of the First Baptist Church.  He spoke words of condolence, and bid the brokenhearted widow bear with Christian fortitude the heavy blow that had fallen upon her.  At the grave he also tendered condolence.
Frank Brown was only thirty years of age when he died.  He was in the flush of manhood.  Of all the sad events in this world, the saddest is to see a person cut off in the prime of life.  He died, regretted by all, respected and trusted by the railway company, and companions alike.  He has reached the last station, the hand at the throttle is cold and pulseless, but if brave and men are rewarded, Frank Brown will not be forgotten.
Mrs. Eva Brown, the wife of the deceased, wishes, through the medium of the Gazetteer, to tender thanks to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers for their kindness and attention to her husband during his sickness.
