Funeral services were held Saturday, March 1 at Bratcher Chapel for Ben F. McCrary, 66, of 308 E. Chestnut.  Rev. A.E. O'Conner of Dallas officiated and interment was in Oakwood Cemetery with Bratcher in charge.
Mr. McCrary died at his home Thursday, February 27 after 2 and a 1/2 years of illness.  He had lived in Denison 49 years.
Mr. McCrary was born in Blossom, Texas, August 21, 1891.  He was married Febrary 9, 1925 to Edith Griffin.  He worked for the MKT Railroad for 38 years before he retired.  He belonged to the Methodist church.
Survivors are his widow; 2 daughters, Mrs. Thomas J. Jordon and Mrs. Stanley Riley, both of Dallas; 3 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.


FUNERAL SET TODAY FOR MRS. McCRARY

Funeral for Mrs. Edith McCrary, 55, of 308 East Chestnut street was scheduled today at 5:30 p.m. in Bratcher chapel with Rev. Wesley Hodges, East Baptist pastor, officiating.  Burial was set in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. McCrary died Tuesday at her home after a long illness.
She was born Edith Griffin at Sallisaw, Oklahoma, October 7, 1906 and married B.F. McCrary at Atoka in 1925.  She was a member of East Baptist Church.  Mrs. McCrary moved to Denison 35 years ago from Atoka.
She worked for Levi Strauss for 15 years before retiting in December 1961 because of ill health.S
Survivors include 2 step-daughters, Mrs. Thomas J. Jordan and Mrs. Stanley E. Riley, both of Dallas; 2 brothers, Howard Griffin of Willow, Oklahoma and Medford Griffin of Sydney, Australia; and 4 half-sisters, Mrs. Effie Ball of Sallisaw; Mrs. Alice...of Oklahoma City; Mrs....of Okema; and Mrs....of Tulsa.
