DEATHS
The funeral of Mrs. Emma Dixie East, 88 years of age, was held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock with LeRoy M. Anderson, Sr., pastor of Memorial Christian church, officiating. Interment was in Oakwood cemetery, beside the grave of her husband, W.A. "Bud" East, who was a member of Denison's police force for 44 years. He died in 1933.
Mrs. East was born in Paducah, Kentucky, August 3, 1861, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Owen. She was educated in Kentuckys schools, and was married to Mr. East in McKinney in 1894. She had lived at 131 E. Morgan for 64 years, and had been ill for many years.
She is survived by a nephew, William Barry, of Denison.
