Denison, Feb. 4 - J.S. Vannatta of  No. 731 West Monterey street yesterday afternoon received a message announcing the death of his mother, Mrs. Mary C. Vannatta at Altamont, Kansas.  The message stated that the remains would be shipped to Denison and arrangements are being made for interment at Oakwood Cemetery.  Mr. Vannatta is awaiting a second message to inform him what time the remains will reach here.
The decedent was 73 years of age and she formerly resided in Denison with her son for a period of two years.
She is survived by her son, J.S. Vannatta, and five children, all married.  One, Mrs. Willie Johnson resides at No. 214 East Morgan street, Denison.  The other four reside in other places.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary C. Vannatta, who died Thursday at Altamont, Kansas, was conducted Sunday afternoon from the residence of her son, J.S. Vannatta, No. 730 West Monterey Street, by Rev. E.P. West, pastor of the First Baptist Church.  The interment was at Oakwood Cemetery.
