AFTER FIFTY YEARS ONE OF THE PERKINS BOYS BACK IN TOWN
Fifty years is a long time to be away from Denison, but that is the record of T.W. Perkins, one of the Perkins boys who were in the printing business here for more than 50 years ago.  T.W. was associated with a brother, Johnny Perkins, in the printing business. He left for other points and Johnnie continued in his shop just off Gandy street in the 631 location on the alley.
The mother of the boys, the late Mary, came to Texas with the boys after the father died in another state.  He was Hiram R. Perkins.
Both the mother and Johnny died after T.W. left.  He is here to see that proper tombstones are placed at their graves in Oakwood cemetery.
T.W. left for the northwest and has spent most of his time in Seattle.  He has not decided as yet where he will locate.  He recalls Denison in the days of her old plank walks and wooden buildings and marvels at the advance made.  He has been making and reviving old ties of friendship and is glad to find so many he knew in old days still among the living.
