 Denison  Section 2  John Garrett 5 April 1885 - 17 January 1961 The Denison Press Friday, September 25, 1959 pg. 6 Funeral services for Mrs. Willie P. Garrett, 69, who died Sunday morning at her home, 304 E. Owing street, were conducted Tuesday, September 22 from the Bratcher Funeral Home. Interment was at Oakwood with Mrs. E.J. Deckel officiating, and Bratcher directing. Mrs. Garrett was born in Tennessee, the parents not known. She was a native of Tennessee and had made her home on Owing street for the last 28 years. Her husband's name was John Garrett, having married in 1956. She was a member of the Pentacostal church. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Charlie Riggs and Willie Riggs and a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Wingo, Bay City, Texas. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
