The body of Johnnie McCollum, the Denison boy who was killed in an airplane crash last Saturday at Pueblo, Colorado, arrived here for funeral services this week and interment.
Born August 7, 1922 at Rome, Georgia, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. McCollum, and attended the school of that city.  Following the death of his parents, while a small child, he had been reared and educated by his grandfather, James A. McCollum, who now resides at Boswell, Oklahoma.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army as a gunsman and was later transferred to the airplane base at Pueblo as a sergeant mechanic.
Surviving are his grandfather and grandmother, Mrs. Jewel Brookshire, Oragon, Georgia.
