DEATH ROLL
Jean W. Owens [sic], 75, a retired Arkansas railroad firemanm died Thursday at 9:45 p.m. at the Frost home.  He resided at 117 W. Day street.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning from the Denison Funeral Home chapel, Rev. L.R. Lamb officiating.  Interment will be at Oakwood cemetery, Denison Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Owens was born in Georgia, March 1, 1854.  He married Miss Mary Westinda here in November of 1887.  Three children were born, two of which are deceased.  He was married to Lula Fletcher December 22, 1919.
He was a member of the Catholic church and is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J.M. Davis of Denison; a half-brother, Wylie Owens of Tulsa; a half-sister, Mrs. Mary Franklin of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; and 2 grandchildren, Mary Faye Davis and Clyde Davis.

DEATH ROLL
Funeral services for John W. Owens, 57,  [sic] retired Arkansas railroad fireman, who died Thursday night at the Frost home, were held at 10 a.m. today from Denison Funeral Home, Rev. L.R. Lamb officiating.  
Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery, Denison Funeral Home directing.  Pallbearers were C.J. Ussery, Henry Shiflett, Jimmy May, Earl Dunn, Ed Davis and Johnny Crane.

John remarried after his 1st wife, Mary Owens, died in 1918; Mary and their three children are buried at Calvary Cemetery in Denison, Texas, the cemetery designated for St. Patricks Catholic Church.  John's 2nd wife was Lula Fletcher, who was about 36 years younger than John and only 39 years of age when he died.
