SHILOH COMMUNITY WOMAN SUCCUMBS HERE
Mrs. W.J. Van Kirk, 29, a resident of the Shiloh community on Rt. 1, Denison, five years, died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday following an illness of one week, four days of which were spent in a local hospital
Mrs. Van Kirk was born at Ravenna, Texas as daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim West and received her education at Denison.  She married Mr. Van Kirk, a farmer, January 11, 1926 at Bonham.
She was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are her husband, parents; five sons, Eugene, Edgar Ray, T.C., Bobbie, Jewell and W.H. Van Kirk, all of Denison; a daughter, Mildred Van Kirk of Denison; a brother, J.C. West of Bonham and six sisters, Mrs. Louise Holliday of California, Mrs. Opal Boseman, Miss Edna West, Mrs. Corine Riggs, and Mrs. Doris West, all of Bonham.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock from Short-Murray chapel.  Interment will be at Oakwood cemetery with Short-Murray directing.
Rev. L.R. Lamb will officiate at the chapel.
