JOHN FLOYD DIES EARLY HOUR TODAY
John M. Floyd, 67, for thirteen years a resident of the Cotton Mill community, died at 2 a.m. Wednesday following an illness of three months.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Sunnyside Baptist Church with Rev. J.F. Merrell officiating.  Interment will be at Oakwood with Short-Murray conducting.
Mr. Floyd was born February 5, 1869 in Mississippi, his parents being Mr. and Mrs. George Floyd.  His education was received in that state and he was married August 7, 1892, at Water Valley, Mississippi to Miss Ida Sanders, to which union two children were born.
Surviving are Carl and Edward, sons; and a nephew, Lois Sanders.
The couple left the place of their marriage in 1907, moving to Bonham.  Later, they moved to McKinney.  They moved to this city in 1925.
