Jones 14 April 1918 - 23 January 2004  The Herald Democrat May 30, 2012 Zetta Eveline Jones, 88, of Denison died Monday, May 28, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 31, at Johnson-Moore chapel with Rev. Keith Taylor officiating. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Duane Jones, Gary Banks, George Lay, Clifford McKenzie, Mark Ashley and Kevin Singleton. She was born April 3, 1924 in Lark, Oklahoma, the daughter of Leonard and Flora Powell Phillips. She married Ernest Jones August 17, 1940 in Denison. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of the Southside Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Steven E. Jones of Denison; daughter, Ernestine Pace of Pottsboro; brothers, Vernon Phillips of Denson, Rev. Al Jones and Rev. Ken Jones, both of Lewisville; sisters, Jessie Mae Odell of Merit; Flora McMenamy of Denison; Aline Jones of Wylie; Edna Terrell of Paris; Clara Davis of Quitman; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughters, Louise Whiteclouc, Joyce Elaine Jones, Marilyn Faye Jones; son, David Edward Jones; sister, Opal Busby; and brother, Clarence Phillips.
