Alma M. Adams, 6-year-old daughter of Albert Adams and Mrs. Martha Frederick Adams, died of bronchial pneumonia and was ill with sickle cell anemia from birth
Her father was the Informant on the Death Certificate.
J.C. Chalmers of Denison,  Texas, was the undertaker who managed the funeral arrangements.

Denison - Services for Albert "Bud" Adams, 74, retired employee of the W.J. Smith Preserving Co. of Denison, who died Friday morning at his Denison home, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Smith's Memorial Chapel in Denison.
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Rev. Manuel Gardner of Denison officiated.
Adams was born in Kellyville, Texas, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ed Adams.  He was reared and attended school there.  His wife, the former Martha Frederick died in 1972.  Mr. Adams was a Baptist.
Survivors include two sons, William and Chester Adams, both of Marshall; five daughters, Mrs. Addean Goins of Denison, Mrs. Carla Bush of the Philippines, Mrs. Martha Key of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Ethel Hatten of Fort Worth and Mrs. Jessie Jones of Bojan City, La.; five brothers, Richard Adams of Denison, Tom Adams of Denver, William and Eddie Adams of Kellyville and Jim Adams of Smithland; sisters, Mrs. Maggie Hines of Kellyville, Mrs. Beatrice Johnson of Smithland and Mrs. Vivian Hooks of Denver; 34 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the home at 900 W. Elm in Denison.  Pallbearers are Albert Bryant, Gilbert Clark, James Kelly, L. Dempsey, Ernest Rhodes, Early Hill and Ernest Parker.


Funeral services for Clara G. Bush, 79, of Marshall, Texas, were held Saturday morning, February 26, 2011 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home.  Burial  was Monday afternoon in Denison, Texas.
Mrs. Bush died Monday, February 21, 2011 in Marshall.
She was born October 5, 1931 in Denison, daughter of Albert Adams and Martha Fredricks Adams.
Mrs. Bush was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Denison.
She worked at AF Base Nurseries.
Survivors include her husband, Johnnie Bush, Jr. of Marshall; children: Hattie Donald of Ft. Worth; Ronald Stancell of Arlington; Darrell Stancell of Carrolton; Margie Stancell of Mesquite; Anita Bush of Carrollton; Sharlene Bush of Arlington; and Johnette Bush of Marshall; 11 grandchildren; sister, Jessie Ruth Jones of Bossier City, Louisiana; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Arrangements under the direction of Downs Funeral Home, Marshall, Texas.
