Funeral services were held Wednesday at Bratcher-Moore Funeral chapel for Wilson Binkley Avery, 59, resident of 630 W. Woodard for the past 15 years, who died suddenly at his home Monday afternoon.  Rev. Richard Crews, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiated and burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Avery was born in Lamasco, August 18, 1892, the son of Mr. and Mrs.  Monroe Avery.  He attended schools in Lamasco and was married there in 1919 to Miss Nora Davis.  He was employed by KRRV radio station and the Texas Employment Service.  A veteran of the first World War, he served with the AEF from July 20, 1918 to February 28, 1919.  He was a member of the Masonic lodge, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
