 Denison  The Denison Press Friday, April 23, 1943 pg. 1 Following an illness of five months, Otto Schirmer, 60, died at his home, 725 E. Heron, Tuesday morning. He had lived at that point 24 years. Born in Germany, February 8, 1835 [sic], he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm Schirmer. He married July 17, 1912 at San Antonio to Miss Vivian Loep. He was a carpenter by trade. He is survived by his widow; a son, Christopher, and a daughter, Mrs. R.P. Tucker, both of Denison. Brothers are William, Brenham, Gustav, Burton, Paul, Converse, and Reinold, of Denison. Sisters are Mrs. Bertha Ackerman, San Antonio. Services were conducted by Rev. Martin Manning and interment was at Oakwood with Short-Murray directing.  OAKWOOD CEMETERY
