The funeral of Mrs. Alice R. Robertson, wife of our esteemed fellow-townsman, F.R. [sic] Robertson, Esq., which took place Wednesday afternoon was largely attended.  The funeral services were held in the Presbyterian Church.  The cortege arrived at the church at 2:30 p.m.  The coffin was carried into the church and placed before the altar.  A beautiful hymn was sung, and after an impressive prayer by Rev. H.H. Hall, portions of the Holy Scriptures were read by Rev. R.M. Carson, which were followed by an appropriate sermon by Rev. John G. Fackler, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Sherman, an intimate friend of the parents of deceased.  Another hymn was sung, and then a prayer by Rev. M.A. Daugherty, when the coffin was replaced in the hearse, and the funeral cortege wended its way to the cemetery.
At the grave a few appropriate remarks were made by Rev. Mr. Kone, of this city, and then the remains were confided to earth.  Mrs. Robertson was highly esteemed and respected by those who had the good fortune of being acquainted with her.  The sorrowing husband and the bereaved babes, as well as the parents of deceased, have our sincere sympathies and the sympathies of our entire community.
