RESIDENT OF CITY 21 YEARS DIED MONDAY
Leon F. McMorris, 67, a resident of Denison since 1917, died Monday at 2:25 p.m. of heart trouble at his home, 900 W. Hull street, following an illness of 18 years.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Short-Murray chapel with Rev. D.E. Hawk officiating.  Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery with Short-Murray directing.
McMorris was born February 14, 1867 as the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom McMorris in Erath county, Texas where he was reared and educated.  He moved to Arkansas where he resided for some time.
He operated a wagon freight between Stephenville and Hico, Texas before the railroads entered that section.  After living a brief period in Wewoka, Oklahoma, he moved to Electra and later to Fort Worth.  Settling in Denison, he became engaged as a farmer.
He married Miss Susan O'Neal September 14, 1892 in Erath county.
Surviving are his widow; five sons, I.F., O.L., J.M., T.E., all of Denison and R.L. McMorris of San Angelo.  Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Sarah Hull of Alice. Texas.

MRS. McMORRIS DIES SUNDAY AFTERNOON HERE
Mrs. Susan A. McMorris, 69, 412 E. Monterey, died Sunday afternoon at 7:15 following an illness of four weeks.  Funeral services were conducted at 4 p.m. Monday from Short-Murray chapel, Rev. Minor Bounds officiating.  Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery, Short-Murray directing.
Mrs. McMorris was born at Ft. Smith, Arkansas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew J. O'Neal, June 15, 1870, and was married in Erath county.  She had made her home in Denison for the past 23 years.
Surviving are sons, Joe, Oscar, and Floyd of Denison, Roy of Corpus Christi and Tom of Sherman
