There are times when fate itself seems to have arrayed its strength against man.  Not long since Mr. J.H. Lloyd, a young man with his family and his aged father and mother came from the far east and took up their residence in our young city.  A few weeks since his father was stricken down and a few days ago all that was mortal of the good old man was laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery.  The felt destroyer was not content but claimed his aged mother and yesterday the grave was hollowed and now they are sleeping side by side in Oakwood.  This is indeed a double blow and strong must be the heart that can say, Thy will be done.  Although comparatively a stranger, Mr. Lloyd has very many friends here who condole with him in this his great affliction.

At Denison, March 14th, at 8 a.m., Mr. Albert M. Lloyd, aged 75 years.  The funeral will take place this morning at 10 a.m. from his residence, on Woodard street.
Mr. Lloyd was the father of Mr. J.H. Lloyd of this city.  He came to Denison from Pennsylvanis, only about 2 months ago.  His disease was inflammation of the bowels, which he contracts a few months ago.  His wife was taken sick at about the same time, with the same disease, and now lies in  a critical condition, with faint hopes of recovery.  Mr. J.H. Lloyd has our sincere sympathies.
