....The four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Emery died Wednesday night and was interred in Oakwood cemetery yesterday afternoon....

George and Sarah Emery came to Denison sometime after 1895 from Indiana and Illinois via the Indian Territory. George was a carpenter. The 1900 Census shows that Sarah was the mother of five children, only three of whom were still living.  The above clipping from
The Sunday Gazetteer tells us that at least one of the two deceased Emery children was a boy. He was probably born in the year 1894 (or possibly in the last few weeks of 1893).
The Emery family lived in Grayson County for only a few years. They had moved on to Fort Worth by 1910.  George and Sarah had another half-dozen children after the 1900 Census.

A son named Arthur was born on November 4, 1898, just five days prior to the death of his unidentified four-year-old brother on November 9.
