James William Johnson, 89, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.  Funeral services were held Saturday, September 8, 2017 at Mt. James was proud to serve his country in both the Army Air Corp and Navy.  James worked as a long haul truck driver most of his life, having driven well over 3 million accident free miles.  For a brief period, he worked as a commercial fisherman in Washougal, Washington.  James enjoyed hunting, watching a good Western and the Texas Rangers.  He also loved matching wits against many game show contestants.  But most of all he loved his family, having passed on his love of the ocean to his son, Jerry; he cherished the time the 2 of them spent together sailing.
