WHITESBORO - Funeral services for Kendall Breigh Golden, 16, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Whitesboro with Rev. Rick Carney officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Tabor Cemetery near Sandusky.   Kendall passed away on January 3, 2010 near Sherman as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born on July 29, 1993 in Denton. She was currently a junior at Whitesboro High School and was active in the
band (playing trumpet and bells), choir and athletics. Kendall was also involved in the Covenant Church Youth Group in Sherman.

Kendall had many hopes and dreams for her future. After graduation, she planned to attend cosmetology classes at Grayson County College and use that experience to attend the University of Texas in Austin to become a physician's assistant.
She was a free spirit, always ready and willing to help a friend. Friends and family often remarked on her beautiful, blue eyes and her sweet smile.
Survivors include her parents, Larry Dale and Sharon (Arledge) Golden of Whitesboro; a brother, Calvin W. Golden and wife, Melissa, of Whitesboro; a grandmother, "Memaw" Mary Arledge of McKinney; aunt, Karen Goodson of McKinney;
aunt and uncle, Nan and Rick Farmer of Whitesboro; uncle, Jim Arledge of McKinney; great-aunt, Rose Golden of Whitesboro; great-aunt and uncle, L.M. and Annie Crocker of Pittsburg; cousins, Sam and Amanda Goodson of Brownwood, Stefanie Goodson of Mesquite, Bryan and Tonya Farmer of Collinsville, Brandon and Jenna Farmer of Fort Worth; Sterlin Arledge of Dallas, and Brandi Arledge of Dallas.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Calvin Larry and Ernestine Golden; an uncle, Darrell Golden; grandfather, Morton Arledge; great-grandparents, Calvin R. and Bertha Golden, and T.B. and Bobbye Arledge.
Pallbearers were Bryan Farmer, Brandon Farmer, Sam Goodson, Sterlin Arledge, Reece Carson, and Kenneth Powell.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Kendall Golden Band Student Support Fund,
c/o Whitesboro Band Fans, 1 Bearcat Dr., Whitesboro, TX 76273 to assist students for instruments, camps, etc.
