Friday, November 15, 1957 pg. 3 Mrs. Amanda C. Flowers, 85, died at her home in Dallas Monday, November 11, after 4 years of illness. Funeral services were held in the Gordonville Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Maurice Martin officiating. Interment was in Mt. Tabor cemetery with Bratcher Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Flowers was born in Gordonville, March 15, 1872, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Finley. She was married October 27, 1890 in Gordonville to R.J. Flowers, who died in 1938. She was a member of the Gordonville Baptist Church. Survivors are one son, C.F. Flowers of Dallas; a daughter, Mrs. R.K. Terry of Sherman; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Briley of Gordonville; 6 grandchildren and17 great-grandchildren.
