E. Worthington Dies at Home Northwest of City
Elvy Worthington, 24, farmer of the Independence community, who has made his home in that section since his birth, died Monday night at the family home.  Death came as the result of an automobile accident near Hagerman when his car was reported to have turned over.
Mr. Worthington's parents were residents of the Independence community and were Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Worthington.
He is survived by 5 brothers and 5 sisters, all of whom will be present for the funeral services to be conducted Tuesday afternoon at Mt. Tabor Cemetery.  Rev. Oscar M. Fraley was in charge of the services which were conducted by Halton-Swank funeral directors.
besides the parents who survive, the brothers are Grady D. and Scotty Worthington of Independence; Gordon Worthington of Locust; Ossie Worthington of Independence; Marvin Sims Worthington of Independence; and Fred Worthington of this city.
Sisters surviving are Mrs. Maud Rawlins of Cedar Mills; Mrs. Fay Nabors of Gordonville; Mrs. Emma Brown of Independence; and Misses Gladys and Mamie Worthington of Independence.
