Funeral services for Roberta "Jean" Pinkston, 86, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Meador Funeral Home Chapel of Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Gary Dempsey officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Sandusky, Texas. Visitation services were held Sunday, July 20, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She passed away in Denton, Texas on July 19, 2014.
Jean was born on August 3, 1927 in Childress, Texas to Bert and Ida (Perry) Dudley. She was married to the love of her life, Harold Pinkston, for 71 years. They were married on February 9, 1943 in Durant, Okla. She owned and operated a beauty shop. She had many hobbies. Some of her hobbies included faithfully watching and supporting the Texas Rangers, gardening, painting, and crocheting. She adored her grandchildren and was the most savvy high-tech grandma in North Texas. She loved attending Willis Baptist Church and it broke her heart to miss a service.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Pinkston, of Whitesboro; children: Dwight Pinkston, Jr. and his wife, Vicki, of Sherman; Bobby Pinkston of Oregon; Linda Woodard and husband, Monty, of Arlington; Tina Graham and husband, Steve, of Hurst; Sandra Salluzzo and husband, Francesco, of Mesquite; and Karen Holle and husband, Rod, of Whitesboro; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 greatgreat grandchildren; as well as two sisters: Ruby Moore and Marguerite Barnes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Ida Dudley; her brother, Delbert Dudley; and her sisters, Ruth McCain and Vera Moore. The pallbearers will be Jerry Jones, David Jones, Jimmy Jones, Charlie Jones, Kevin Rhodes, and Wes Pinkston.

WHITESBORO – Graveside services for “Harold” Dwight Pinkston Sr., 91, will be held Monday, December 8th at 2:00 p.m.
at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Sandusky, Texas with Rev. Gary Dempsey officiating.

He passed away at his home in Whitesboro, Texas on December 4, 2014.
Harold was born on April 15, 1923 in Ida, Texas to Claude and Ada Pinkston. He was married to the love of his life, Jean Pinkston, for 71 years. They were married on February 9, 1943 in Durant, Oklahoma.
He was a member of the 878th Engineer Aviation Battalion of the United States Army in WWII where he was deployed in Normandy, France and was involved in the D-Day Invasion.
He was a truck driver for Dairy Pak until he retired. Some of his hobbies were woodworking and fishing. He adored his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Willis Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children: Dwight Pinkston, Jr. and his wife, Vicki, of Sherman: Bobby Pinkston of Oregon; Linda Woodard and husband Monty, of Arlington; Tina Graham and husband, Steve, of Hurst; Sandra Salluzzo and husband, Francesco, of Mesquite; and Karen Holle and husband, Rod, of Whitesboro; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and
3 great-great grandchildren; as well a sister; Mary Jo Rhodes.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Pinkston; his parents, Claude and Ada Pinkston; his brothers: Ralph Pinkston, Ernest Pinkston, and Charlie Pinkston; his sisters: Murkey Lehr, Billie Jean Jones, and Betty Sue Sakowski.
