DENISON - A Celebration of Life for Ms. Edie Mae Martin, of Denison, wias held Monday afternoon, December 31, 2012 at Community Baptist Church located at 300 S. Maxey St. in Sherman. Pastor Charles Leslie, Jr. officiated with Rev. Jerry L. DeHorney Sr., as
the celebration speaker. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery in Denison. 
Eddie Mae was born May 16, 1935 in Denison to the parentage of the late Walter and Jewel Childs. She received her education from the Denison Public School District and was a graduate of Terrell High School. Eddie was a loving homemaker and took very good care of her family. She enjoyed spending her time doing various arts and crafts. She loved reading her bible, and would always encourage others to do the same.
On Tuesday morning , December 25, 2012, Eddie Mae was called "Home for Christmas" by her Lord God. She was 77 years old.
She is survived by her son, Howard Martin Jr., of Big springs, Texas; daughters; Othello Butler of Denison; May Mason and husband, Robert Mason Sr., of Sherman; and Janet Martin also of Denison; sister, Ola Fay DeHorney of Denison; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
Celebration arrangements are under the Personal Care of Cravens Funeral Home.
